A bunch of teens were asked to listen to some 90s hits from the likes of Ace Of Base, Green Day and The Backstreet Boys – and most of them had never heard them before. Watch the video below.
The video was made by Fine Brothers Entertainment (TheFineBros), the creators of Kids React, Teens React, & Elders React.
When asked to listen to Ace Of Base’s 1993 hit ‘The Sign’, the teens reacted with comments such as: “I’ve never heard this in my entire life”; “This was in Pitch Perfect”; “I know this song, this was on American Dad”; “Oh god, this is like the most despicable of all 90s songs”. One girl thought it was by Madonna.
Watch: Do Teens Know 90s Music?:
How did they respond to Tool’s 1993 track ‘Sober’? “He sounds constipated” and “I hated it”.
Green Day’s 1994 gem ‘Basket Case’? “Why does it sound like Panic! At The Disco?” and “I’ve never heard that song in my entire life”.
Coolio’s ‘Gangsta's Paradise’? “I like Weird Al’s version much better” and “Coolio? I like that name.”
Plus, they listen to Mariah Carey’s ‘One Sweet Day’, Chumbawumba’s ‘Tubthumping’ (they all seem to like this more than every other song) and The Backstreet Boys’ ‘I Want It That Way’.
