Justin Bieber might have risen in the credibility stakes with the success of his new song 'What Do You Mean', but it seems his credibility amongst Metallica fans is still pretty damn low. After the singer performed on The Ellen Show to promote his new album, many metals fans took to Twitter to chastise his choice of clothing.
The singer has become something of a regular on Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show, and on Tuesday he visited the show proudly sporting a Metallica t-shirt. And not for the first time - he wore one on The Graham Norton show last week too.
Unsurprisingly, metal fans did not take this statement lightly.
I wonder if Justin Bieber actually listens to Metallica?

In Bieber's defence, and to those who questioned whether Bieber could name a single Metallica song, he did perform an acoustic cover of their song 'Fade To Black' a few years back. And the band didn't have a problem with it.
Meanwhile, Bieber is set to perform at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball next month, alongside the likes of Coldplay, Little Mix, Ellie Goulding and Ariana Grande. For tickets and more information, visit here
