Depeche Mode have confirmed their 2013 plans for both a new album, and a 2013 live date in London.
They also released a video featuring an in-studio collage, hinting at the new record. The video features a new song that sounds reminiscient of 1993 hit 'I Feel You'.
The band teased fans with a preview of the new album at their press conference yesterday, which was live-streamed from Paris, as they played a untitled track from the group's upcoming 13th studio release.
Martin Gore, one of the group's founding members, said of the new record: "It's got a bit of a feel of Violator on some of the songs and a feel of Songs of Faith and Devotion on other songs.
"It's a bit of a hybrid of those two for me."
He added: "I am very happy with the new album and I think there are at least three or four songs that are up there with the very best that we've done.
Teaser song lyrics that the band posted on their Facebook...
The band are aiming to have the album finished by the end of the year, with an approximate November deadline.
Dave Gahan told Spin earlier this year: "We have a deadline of the end of November, and there's no reason we why we won't meet that at the rate we're going."
