Avenged Sevenfold have been announced as the first headliners of Download Festival 2014. Full dates and details are below.
Hard rock icon Rob Zombie has also been confirmed to perform - marking the first 2014 UK major festival announcement of the year. Avenged Sevenfold will be headlining the main stage on the opening Friday of the event.
Another strongly rumoured act to be appearing are Download regulars Bowling For Soup.
Download Festival promise another announcement at 8am tomorrow (Tuesday 5 November, 2013). More headliners and huge names are expected to be revealed throughout the week.

This summer's event was headlined by Rammstein, Slipknot and Iron Maiden - and also saw performances from the likes of Limp Bizkit, 30 Seconds To Mars, Queens Of The Stone Age and many more.
