Jabberwocky festival controversy continues, as it emerges that The Van Pelt have allegedly been forced to pull out of a replacement show due to ATP's 'contractual obligations'.
The move, which is no doubt set to anger ticket holders even further, sees the band having to pull out of their Saturday (16 August) show with Metz, Iceage and more at The Shackwell Arms. The promoters have written that the band pulled out due to "contractual obligations", as a result of other shows over the weekend.
The NME reports that a Facebook post on the Bad Vibrations promotions page reads: "We're very sad to say that The Van Pelt can't play this show now due to contractual obligations with ATP. We will be announcing a raft of new bands this afternoon though! So stay in touch."

Instead The Van Pelt's will be playing a show at the Ace Hotel with Ought and Amen Dunes on Friday (15 August). Meanwhile ATP also helped secure the Deafheaven show at the Garage, but only after the band ensured they didn't benefit from the show and that the ATP logo was removed from promotional materials.
