Shoegaze meets Madchester? Count us in. 'Summer's Dead', the new single from US band Eastern Hollows is a gloriously retro affair, and bloody brilliant. Today, the rising band have premiered the video for their latest release on Gigwise. Check it out below.
Joining in the psychedlic pop rival (basically, if you're into Tame Impala, Jagwar Ma or Temples you are going to love this), 'Summer's Dead' is a ready-made summer anthem, with a dream-like vibe which builds to a euphoric climax - and the video follows suit. Kicking off in black and white, it explodes into a sea of colour, with the band performing on a rooftop as a stranger drops roses across a city, leading to some truly spectacular results. Check out the video below.
The single is releases on 5 May, with the band's debut album set to follows on 19 May. If 'Summer's Dead' is representative of the record's quality, we could be in for a seriously psychedelic summer...
