More about:

All Points East—one of Britain's favourite new festivals—resumes this August Bank Holiday weekend after time away during the pandemic. Headliners Kano, Jamie xx, London Grammar, Jorja Smith, Foals and Bombay Bicycle Club will all bring in the crowds, but who else should you go to see this weekend in London's Victoria Park?

Here's a list of seven for you:

ENNY

Fresh off her double trophy win at the AIM Awards last night, ENNY is an early performer, setting the tone for the rest of the festival with what will undoubtably be an exciting set. Ready to blow up very soon, it's a good time to go and see her before she's selling out venues all over London.

Playing: West Stage on Friday at 3.30pm.

Jadu Heart

It's a cliché to say you're missing out if you haven't heard x or y band before, but in the case of Jadu Heart, it's absolutely true. The duo have been releasing music for years, and with last year's Hyper Romance, they produced a blindingly beautiful, supernatural-sounding record lacing guitars in with the Gothic surround of the church they wrote it in to create pure magik.

Playing: North Arena on Friday at 4.00pm.

Jelani Blackman

With his 2020 single 'Hello', Jelani Blackman came on strong. A sparse, delicious backing track held up a flow that presented the industry's sexiest voice since Giggs. The song featured on COLORS—as did 'Tricky', a darker, more serious cut. The London artist is absolutely one to watch: his recent single 'Bubblin' continued a streak of perfect cuts.

Playing: Firestone Stage on Friday at 7.30pm.

Jockstrap

Up for something a little stranger? Jockstrap, who are favourites of Brixton's The Windmill and new darlings of indie dieheards everywhere, will bring their glitchy strangeness to the Firestone Stage on Saturday. Attend for the vague sense that an old 1950's TV set is coming to haunt you.

Playing: Firestone Stage on Saturday at 6.15pm.

Gilles Peterson

It doesn't matter how good your taste in music is: it's not better than Gilles Peterson's. The 6 Music veteran, Brownswood Recordings head and Worldwide FM DJ is a legend for a reason. His sets are unmissable spectacles that take you all around the world on a wave of danceable ecstasy.

Playing: 6 Music Stage on Saturday at 6.30pm.

Working Men's Club

Ladies and gentlemen, the rumours are true: Working Men's Club are fucking amazing. If all the hype hasn't convinced you, nor the fact that they're supporting New Order next month, nor even their perfect self-titled debut...seeing them live definitely will.

Playing: North Arena on Monday at 3.00pm.

swim school

Having just casually released one of the best EP's of the year with Making Sense Of It All, Swim School are taking their atmospheric stylings to All Points East so as to demonstrate to a wider audience just how excellent they are. You better be there.

Playing: BMW Play Next Stage on Monday at 4.55pm.
