The Zutons Answer YOUR Questions!

  • Thursday, July 03, 2008

Following in the the footsteps of Simple Plan and Gary Numan, Abi and Sean from The Zutons took time out of their intensely busy summer schedule to take part in our latest Gigwise Q&A session. Read what they had to say about their third studio album 'You Can Do Anything' below:

Which festival are you looking forward to the most?
~ by Sarah C

Abi: I’m really looking forward to T in the Park
Sean: We look forward to them all. T in the Park is always special and Glastonbury is great to play too.

Any plans to release You Can Do Anything here in the states? How about a follow up tour?
~ by Kimmy

Sean: That would be nice – it’s kind of down to the record company releasing it.

Why does Dave look like Jesus?
~ by howlie

Sean: Ask a stupid question…
Abi: Cos he’s been reading the bible!

Which member do you think is getting married first?
~ by AJ

Abi:  Russell
Sean: It’s hard to say – I don’t think any of us are the marrying type.

Why does Abi not sing lead in any of the songs? She has a much stronger vocal in my opinion!!
~ by Roxanne- Leeds
Abi: I do - buy the new album and see for yourself!

Do you agree with most of Liverpool in thinking Ringo Starr’s a dickhead?
~ by Terence in Liverpool
Sean: No. It’s a bit weird because he is 1 of 4 people who were in the biggest band ever and from Liverpool.

What bands at the moment are you a big fan of? p.s I’m loving RATM (REVEREND AND THE MAKERS) at the moment, what do you think about them?
~ by Joseph Maguire
Abi: The Raconteurs, Candie Payne
Sean: I prefer the real ‘RATM’, Rage Against The Machine – I don’t know much about Reverend and The Makers but I’ll check them out.

How have your lives changed since you became the Zutons and what inspiration could you give me as a teenager to carry on gigging with my band rather than fade away and end the band ??
~ by Sutty

Sean: We travel a lot and play gigs all over the world which is a dream come true. My advice is to just keep on and write the best songs you can and keep gigging.
Abi: Don’t give up through the hard times it’ll be better if you persevere.
