Songwriter Sid Tepper, who wrote for The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, has died, aged 96.
Tepper and songwriting partner Roy C Bennett were leading talents in the 1950s and '60s. The pair scored their first hit in 1948 with 'Red Roses for a Blue Lady' performed by Guy Lombardo.
They went on to work with a number of artists in their 25 years + career, including Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee and The Beatles.
Amongst Tepper's most famous songs were 'Red Roses For A Blue Lady', 'Strangers In The Starlight', 'Lonesome Cowboy' and 'The Young Ones.'

Speaking of his long-lasting success, Tepper said, "We wrote the songs for all the stars of our generation."
Tepper died of natural causes at his home in Miami Beach, Florida. He is survived by his five children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
