Early recordings of Kurt Cobain's pre-Nirvana band, Fecal Matter, are reported to have surfaced online.
The trio, consisting of Cobain, drummer Greg Hokanson and Dale Crover on bass, formed in 1985 and the alleged tape is said to have been recorded a year later in Burien, Washington State.
Consisting of 13 tracks, Illiteracy Will Prevail features early cuts of 'Downer' and 'Spank Thru' - tracks that Nirvana later went on to re-record as they brought grunge to the masses.
Illiteracy Will Prevail is 58 minutes long, and is reportedly streaming in various places online. Check out the tracklist below.
