We may have waited 16 years for it, but Dr Dre's new album Compton is already attracting heavy criticism from some fans, as it shamefully glamourises rape and promotes domestic violence against women.
On 'Medicine Man', Eminem, no stranger to controversy himself, raps: "Ain't no-one safe from, non-believers there ain't none / I even make the bitches I rape cum."
The bad taste doesn't stop there either. A skit at the end of 'Loose Cannons', which features guest spots from Xzibit and COLD 187um, appears to revolve around Dre murdering and burying a woman. Listen to Compton via Apple Music now.
No matter how eagerly anticipated your album is, there's no excuse for this.

Why did Eminem have to destroy the Medicine Man verse then end it with a rape line

Really enjoyed "Compton: A Soundtrack". Eminem really impressed on "Medicine Man", aside from a gross rape line that should've stayed in '99

Dr Dre recently announced that proceeds from Compton will be pumped back into the community. He said: "I feel it's the right thing to do and I hope everybody appreciates the work I put into this album. We've reached out to Aja Brown [Compton Mayor] quite a few times in the last month or two".
