Former R.E.M frontman Michael Stipe has released a list of his ten favourite books.
The list was devised as part of One Grand, a new bookstore created by Magazine editor Aaron Hicklin. The store is set to only stock books featured on the lists of favourites from artists, creative personalities and writers.

Stipe has joined the likes of Tilda Swinton, Sleater Kinney and Carrie Brownstein in revealing his all time favourite books.
His list includes Jack Kerouac’s ‘On The Road’ and Patti Smith’s ‘Just Kids’, an auto-biography that is soon to be adapted for television by Penny Dreadful's John Logan.
Patti Smith has commented in the past on actors who could take on her role. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly about Kristen Stewart in 2012, she said "she's not conventially beautiful, but very charimatic."

Earlier in the year, Michael Stipe joined forced with Elton John to defend the rights of transgender prisoners in America. The two influential artists condemened apparent discrimination taking place in a prison in Georgia.
