Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile has told fans he's "lucky to be alive" after suffering a huge electric shock from a microphone.
Although not specifying where or when the incident took place, the singer took to Twitter to explain how he had spent the previous 24 hours receiving treatment. Rather matter-of-factly, he stated "close call for the heart."
It's the second time this year that Carlile has been admitted to hospital, after two Of Mice & Men shows were cancelled for unconfirmed reasons in June.
Spent the last 24 hours in hospital. I've been "electrocuted" by mic, working, etc. before, but never to the extent of yesterday. Nothing

to show from it other than burns on my fingers. Lucky to be alive, but today feel like I was ran over by a truck. Close call for the heart.
