He be only two days into his new role at Radio X, but Chris Moyles has already taken a sideways shot at his breakfast show rival Nick Grimshaw.
Grimmy was controversially brought in to replace Moyles on BBC Radio One, in order to stay in keeping with a younger audience. Now, they're battling it out for listeners with Moyles reinstated as a breakfast host on the recently relaunched Radio X.
Yesterday, during an interview with Noel Gallagher, the Oasis and High Flying Birds man told Moyles that his children preferred Grimmy to him, to which he replied: "Why would you do that to them?"
Moyles continued: "I didn’t hear from him today actually. I would have put money on the fact I would have got a text from him but I didn’t. Greg James sent me a nice text yesterday saying, “Good luck, it’s great to have you back.”
#MoylesIsBack became a top trending topic on Twitter yesterday, with many taking the time to voice their movement in listenership over to Radio X from BBC Radio One.
