Prince tour ticket sales postoned - he blames touts and point of sale Photo: Press

Prince has taken to Twitter to speak out after fans were surprised that tickets to his UK tour did not go on sale this morning - explaining that they've been postponed due to touts.

His Royal Badness delighted fans when he announced details of his stripped-back 'Prince - A Piano & A Microphone' tour hitting Birmingham, London and Glasgow later this month

Tickets were due to go on sale at 10am this morning, but then it was announced that the on-sale date had been postponed, with sources providing no reason for why

However, Prince has now gone online to suggest that it has been pushed back for him to find more ways to avoid tickets falling into the hands of touts:

Said dates include matinee and evening shows.

The dates of Prince's Spotlight: Piano & A Microphone UK tour are as follows. Tickets will hopefully and eventually be available here. Check back at Gigwise for more information

Prince will play:
Friday 27 November - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall - shows at 5pm + 9pm
Sunday 29 November - London Theatre Royal Drury Lane - shows at 3pm + 7pm
Tuesday 1 December - Birmingham Symphony Hall - shows at 5pm + 9pm
