The new year has kicked off with a bad omen for 'Firestarter' Keith Flint, as The Prodigy frontman has received a 'warning' from Anonymous for allegedly taking part in hunting - however Flint has since responded to the claims.

The Daily Mail reports that Flint has been taking part in hunts near his Essex home, and has been bonding with 'big wigs' who participate in the 'sport'. Now, online activists Anonymous have issued a warning to Flint for being a 'murderer' and 'traitorous fuckwit' for reneging on his life's work of 'making music against the establishment'.

Responding to the claims on the band's Facebook page, Flint writes: "In regards to a story going around about me right now - yes I live in Essex and have a couple of horses. I went riding with the local trail hunt, it was a ride out and NO ANIMALS WERE HUNTED OR KILLED, so my conscience is clear, it wasn't my thing and I won't be going again."

"It has come to our attention that Keith has a fetish for murdering animals," say Anonymous in the message. "It has come to our attention that Keith has been rubbing shoulders with Tory criminals whilst out fox hunting. Keith likes the torture and killing of animals - how ironic. Keith killed a deer, now anonymous will politically kill Keith.

"So sit tight, Keith - it's going to be a bumpy ride."

In the past, Anonymous have also taken aim at Kanye West and Iggy Azalea

Meanwhile, The Prodigy recently claimed that they'd be making no more albums, but would continue to release singles and EPs
