More about: Jay-ZOne Direction
Jay Z has spoken of his desire to work with One Direction's Harry Styles on his upcoming solo work, as he's sure to scale greater heights of fame and vastly improve his net worth.
1D are set to go on hiatus soon following last year's departure of Zayn Malik. Each of the members are set to go it alone, with Styles' work seemingly coming soon after registering the names of four solo tracks last week.
Now, The Hov himself Jay Z has said that he'd love to work with Styles through his management company Roc Nation - and vows to make him 'the biggest artist in the world'.
"Harry doesn’t need any help with exposure, everybody in the world knows who he is," he told The Daily Star. "But he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist. I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers – and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year.”
He also said he'd gladly join forces with Simon Cowell to make Styles a sensation: "I would love to sign Harry. Simon is going to want to carry on working with him, of course. But we could do a joint venture – we both have big qualities we can bring to the table."
The names of the solo tracks registered by Styles were ‘Coco’, Endlessly’, ‘Already Home’ and '5378 Miles' - after the departed Malik teased his own new material and slammed 1D for being 'generic as fuck'.
Last year saw the members of 1D named among the richest celebrities under 30 - worth a total of £80million.
