Sigur Ros have unveiled the beautiful, disturbing, violent video for ‘Óveður’. Watch it below.

The band premiered the song during recent festival performances, and they’ve now dropped the full studio version, alongside its Jonas Akerlund-directed video.

Shot in the village of Grindavík on the Reykjanes peninsular, the video stars choreographer Erna Ómarsdóttir as a homeless drunk woman with a one-eyed husky making her way through the village towards the local pub. Things quickly take a strange and violent turn.

Meanwhile, Sigur Ros headline Citadel Festival in London's Victoria Park on Sunday 17 July 2016. For tickets and more information, visit here

They'll also be headlining the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury on Friday.

We're pretty excited to see what the band's eighth album has in store. Recently, all we've had to go on is the band releasing over 40 unheard tracks, appearing in Game Of Thrones and covering the show's 'Reigns Of Castamere'
