More about:

Always the charmer, Noel Gallagher has revealed how he's likely to behave if you ask him for a selfie - revealing that he often tells fans who ask to 'fuck off'.

The former Oasis icon turned solo star is about to embark on a lengthy summer tour, but it may not be the best idea to approach him and ask for a photo.

“There's no downside to fame. It is a bit awkward when you're just walking around a department store trying to buy underwear and there's people following you with camera phones and shit like that. But the downside to fame, I've yet to experience one," he told Rolling Stone. "It's great."

But he added: “I'm sick of fans asking for selfies, but I just tell them to go and fuck themselves. I'm not beholden to anyone with a camera phone and I don't give a fuck if they think I'm an arsehole."

“I turn down photographs on a daily basis. When people say can I have a picture and I just say no and they just (laugh and) go, 'Yeah, what really?' 'Yeah really I'm fucking busy here buying underwear'. Some people get so offended and then you get people who insist, they insist. If I feel like doing it, I'll do it if I don't feel like doing it fuck them. I don't live my life to have my picture taken by fans whether they buy my records or not. I don't ask them to buy them.”

Meanwhile, fans should not expect an Oasis reunion any time soon - as the Gallagher brothers have been embroiled in a bitter feud about who is a 'potato' and who is 'irrelevant'.

This comes after Liam was forced to apologise for sending homophobic Tweets about the recent Euro football riots - before one fan went as far to get them tattooed on him

Gallagher has spent much of the year being hard at work on his next album. Speaking to Gigwise last month, the album's producer David Holmes said:  "Yeah, it's going really good. We're a good bit into it now, we've got nearly five tracks done now. People are going to be surprised. I think people love Noel and they're desperate for him to make a really big, bold, uptempo beast of a record - a lot of Noel's music is quite mid-tempo. This one is quite fun."

He continued: "Noel's straightforward, he normally just reacts - he either goes 'yeah, that's great' or 'no, that's not for me', or to be perfectly blunt 'no that's fookin' shite'. It's been really good, Keefus has been playing on it - it's been a fun experience. He's super talented and a joy to work with."

"It's not for me to say what it sounds like, it's his record - I'm just helping him try to realise a different way of working and stuff. You're going to have to wait and see. He's a brilliant guitar player, and he's really getting into guitar pedals and stuff. He's got two great ears."
