Bad news for fans hoping to catch Haim live this summer, as the 'Falling' stars and bass face queens have been forced to pull all upcoming UK and European dates to focus on their new album.

The sisters Haim have been hard at work on the follow-up to 2013's acclaimed Days Are Gone for nearly Two Years, but now it looks like the record may be nearing completion - but at the sacrifice of their appearance at Reading & Leeds festival, as well as a number of other dates across Europe - including Way Out West, Oya and Electric Picnic.

"We hate to disappoint you guys that had plans to come see us and promise we'll be back in the near future to share our new music with you," they wrote in a letter to fans on Facebook. Read the full message below:

"We've just been in the studio for so long," said the band in a statement earlier this year. "Like, perfecting, and trying to get it right. At this point, we just wanna go out there and play the songs live."

To get a taster of Haim's new album, check out two new tracks they debuted live earlier this year.
