Last night, Lady Gaga played the first of three intimate tour dates in support of her latest album, Joanne.
Gaga has been away for some time since the release of her not so succesful album, Artpop. And with that time away, Gaga promise fans that the intimate shows, that were sponsored by Bud Light, would feature some new material.
It would appear that Gaga, or Joanne, is a woman of her word, as she played a set packed with hits, but balanced out with new songs. Not only that, but Joanne fans will be rejoicing, as their mother monster is playing out on a new role. This one sees her dressing like a toned down Taylor Momson, yet producing her usually fantastic vocal arrangements.
Of the new album, Joanne, played, 'Million Reasons', 'A-Yo', 'Sinner's Prayer', and lead single, 'Perfect Illusion'.
Joanne later shared a video clip of the song, 'A-Yo', on Twitter:

The set was only short-lived, as Gaga arrived outside the 5-spot venue at 10:22pm and was finished by 10:50pm. Yet, some long-awaited new material was probably enough to keep her fans happy. At least, if that wasn't enough, the idea that she could be playing a secret set near you any time soon, probably will be enough for now.
Joanne's self-titled album will be released on the 21st October, and will feature no less than Florence Welch, as well as, production from the likes of, Josh Homme, Beck, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker and, Mark Ronson.
The next two dates of the Dive Bar Tour will be on the 20th, and the 27th October, so keep your eyes peeled, Little Monsters.
