The XX have annnounced tour dates across Europe for Spring 2017, this follows the revealing of their new album, I See You, out 13 January via Young Turks.

The band have already put out the official audio to 'On Hold' and it's already winning hearts. They're a brillaint collage of atmospheric ambient soundscapes, and sweet R&B tinged vocals. They sound much more confident and upbeat than the desolate stark beauty of 2012's Coexist

The difference in mood may be due to the fact xx and Coexist were both made in relative isolation in London, I See You was recorded between March 2014 and August 2016 in New York, Marfa TX, Reykjavik, Los Angeles and London, making it characterised by a more outward-looking, open and expansive approach. They even look happier in the press pic.
