Sam Shephard, known behind the decks as Floating Points, is the latest artist to be named as a headliner for the underground dance festival in the village of Arinsal, Andorra.
He is the most recent in a line of exciting electronic music acts – including Motor City Drum Ensemble, Ben UFO and Oneman – set to light up the snowy outlands of “Europe’s Greatest Ski Party” in phosphorescent lights and dance music.
Floating Points released his debut album ‘Elaenia’ in 2015, an esoteric mix of jazz, soul, classical, and rock beats that announced him as an unparalleled figure in modern underground dance.
The festival will take place from 26 March – 2 April 2017 and this is the first time it will be taking place in Arinsal. A programme of launch events and warm-up parties across the UK and Europe have also been announced, including a London Launch Party in the Bussey Building, Peckham on 17 February.
