The first wave of acts confirmed to play at Budapest multi-venue festival BUSH (Budapest Showcase Hub) has today been shared. Find ticket details on Gigwise below.

Taking place 13 – 15 November, the festival takes over a number of top live venues and clubs across the much-loved central European city and programmes 35 bands playing over the three day period. The first day, however, is a warm up with one opening concert.

Budapest regulars may recognise some of the following venues: LÄRM, Fogasház/ Instant, A38, Beat on the Brat, Robot, Toldi, ELLÁTÓház. More venues are set to be confirmed.

Anyhoo, the band line-up. The festival will give all details way in advance, but for this announcement, which coincides with a £4 (!) super early bird ticket on sale, they have shared the five below:

Heavy merchants of melancholy and masters of clever rock orchestration Trillon are the first Hungarian band to be announced.

Austrian band Mother’s Cake, one of the most praised live bands in Europe, are a stellar addition and have heaps of experience: they have opened for the likes of Velvet Revolver and Limp Bizkit; you can count on them to put on a rousing show.

Solo synth pop artist Perfect Son is a relative newcomer and was a huge draw at the recent OFF Festival. Having just signed to Sub Pop, there's significant curiosity surrounding this Polish star.

The Baltics, meanwhile, have representation from Jefferson Airplane-esque Estonian band Anna Kaneelina. And lo-fi electro pop artist junior a from Lithuania completes the first wave.

All acts mentioned above are from the former Eastern Bloc or guest country Austria. These are the parameters set by the festival as its USP is to give a platform for bands from this part of the world.

Each act is renowned in their country, but looking to nurture their careers in new territories. They can do this at BUSH thanks to its strong, supportive community of music fans and music industry professionals.

There is also a conference arm to this event with details to be announced. A pro pass (conference + festival) is 49EUR as an early bird.

All in all, a very worthwhile jaunt, we reckon. Especially for the price.
