Jane Weaver has released a new album teaser as well as details of an autumn tour. The video find Weaver in the studio recording and talking about her new album, Modern Kosmology, which is set for release on May 19.
The album, which is the follow-up to 2014’s critically acclaimed breakthrough, The Silver Globe, has been solely produced by Weaver. While the record sees a range of influences including the abstract painter Hilma Af Klint, she’s also joined by erstwhile Can vocalist Malcolm Mooney and host of Mancunian drummers and guitarists who add to her layers of synths.
The video, which you can watch below, sees Weaver getting stuck into a Roland string synth as well as her Korg Poly Ensemble P as she discusses her artistic development since the release of her last album.
