Having recently wowed critics at Roundhouse, this is an opportunity to see the 'Hanging On The Telephone', 'Call Me', and 'Heart Of Glass' band somewhere even more special.
This will be one of the smallest and most intimate venues the band have played in their career, and will mark 40 years to the week of their first ever performance in the UK which took place at the Village Bowl in Bournemouth in 1977.
The event has been arranged in association with Amazon Tickets and forms part of a series named Prime Live Events, a new live entertainment programme exclusively for Prime members giving fans the opportunity to see their favourite artists perform up close and personal in iconic locations.
Of the partnership, Debbie Harry said: "We are excited to be performing at the first Prime Live Event marking 40 years since our first gig in the UK,” said Blondie’s lead singer, Debbie Harry. “The Round Chapel is an intimately warm and beautiful room allowing our fans to get up close & personal."
Blondie are joined by the superb Texas, Katie Melua, and Alison Moyet, who will do a pre-gig Q&A for the event series.
Prime Live events works for fans who who pay £79 a year or £7.99 a month. They get access to the intimate gigs and other services, including online video and one-hour and same-day delivery of a wide range of products.
These four gigs are a pilot, marking the first time the web giant is running and promoting its own gigs. They aim for something much bigger and if successful it could see the company hosting gigs of this sort as often as once a week. For now, though, get on these tickets below:
