The inimitable Dutch tribal psych threesome My Baby will release their new single on September 15, the latest to be cut from their new album Prehistoric Rhythm, out now via Glitterhouse Records.

Esoteric as ever, the video for their new track, Sunflower Sutra, is divided into three sections: birth, ceremony and rebirth, each represented by a new twist in the track’s pacey sense of snaking momentum.

The video sees frontwoman Cato van Dyck joined by three ‘totems’, each representing one of the trio’s zodiac signs. That is: the ‘corageous, hardworking’ rooster (guitarist Daniel ‘Dafreeze’ Johnston), the hare, which represents ‘happiness, care and sexuality’ (Cato van Dyck), and the ‘modest, responsible, but subjective in life’ pig (Cato’s brother and drummer Joost).

Visually the video is buoyed by rich, imaginative psychedelic imagery, with interpretive dance sequences weaving into shamanic dreamscapes and unsettling grooves, while the music sees the three-piece unleashing their signature weave of pumping rhythm, blissfull psych and smatterings of country.
