Apart from releasing their ninth album, Concrete And Gold, headlining the O2 Arena to celebrate the venue's tenth anniverary, playing live with Rick Astley, asking Paul McCartney to play drums on their new album, and opening their own pub, we don’t really hear much from Foo Fighters do we? Well, all that is set to change as they confirm that they’re to appear on Carpool Karaoke.

The appearance has been confirmed by the band themselves after they re-tweeted a post from the Late Late Show’s twitter account. The tweet shows a gif of the show’s host James Cordon rocking out with Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Pat Smear and the other three blokes from the band in a car.

Foo Fighters will be the latest in a long line of guests participating with James Cordon. Since launching as a segment as part of the Late Late Show With James Cordon in 2015, guests have included Adele, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Madonna and the ubiquitous Ed Sheeran.
