Norwegian-born, London-based artist EERA is gearing up for a tour alongside Ghostpoet, and has just released a striking video to accompany new single ‘I Wanna Dance’

In the clip glamorous drag artist Ruby Waxwork – aka fellow musician Douglas Dare, who’s released two excellent albums in his own right on the Erased Tapes label – dances through the streets of east London in a spangly pink dress. It’s utterly, joyously in keeping with the vibe of the track, which sets out to contrast the diverse pressures of modern city life – romantic, financial, existential – with the unalloyed ecstasy of dancing alone through the streets after a killer night out.

Directed by Jodie Canwell, who has also supervised shoots for Lucy Rose, The Big Moon and Spring King, is sure to evoke happy memories of summertime hedonism now that the nights are drawing in.

'I Wanna Dance' is taken from EERA's upcoming debut album Reflection Of Youth, which will be released via Big Dada on 3 November.

The album was recorded in a studio on a working dairy farm in the wilds of West Wales and in producer Nick Rayner’s home studio in Cork, Ireland. All ten songs were composed in the small hours of the night and, ad according to their creator are best experienced in that context, when soul-searching and introspection come naturally.

Reflection Of Youth follows the release of last year’s eponymous debut EP which received radio play from Huw Stephens, Lauren Laverne and Tom Ravenscroft as well as critical praise from the likes of The Sunday Times and Time Out New York, who included ‘Drive With Fear’ in their Best Songs Of 2016 list.

Following last year's two sold out headline shows and festival slots at The Great Escape, Dot To Dot and End Of The Road, EERA recently played a mesmerising set at Bermondsey Social Club in London. She will soon tour as a special guest of Ghostpoet including a London show at Printworks on November 10.

Reflection Of Youth will be available on CD, LP, Digital and via all DSPs. Pre-order it
