Pete DohertyPete Doherty reportedly lost out on £50,000 when he was arrested at the weekend.

The Babyshambler was meant to jet out to Austria on Saturday to perform a concert for a radio station where he was due to be handed over the ludicrous sum.

But after being  pulled over by police on suspicion of drugs possession in Hackney he could not go.

The station, Radio Soundportal, was left in even more financial dire straights after they had to abort Doherty’s private jet at a cost of £20k and refund all the tickets for the show which amounted to £100k.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Pete's bandmates, Drew McConnell and Adam Ficek, flew to Graz without Pete on Saturday afternoon because they thought he'd be released in time to join them for the gig.

"The promoters organised the jet for 6pm. It was held for five hours... until it became clear Pete wasn't going to make it."
