The Rivers are a Brighton-based 5 piece who have jumped aboard the ‘we’re-on-the-dole-and-life-in-england-is-shit-so-lets-sing-all-about-it bandwagon. The Rivers have racked up an impressive support repetoire with the likes of The Young Knives, Larrikin Love and The Kooks, the latter of which the B-side ‘Latch’ bears a striking resemblence to. ‘Got Something On Me’ is pleasingly simple with dance inducing guitar strikes featuring throughout. Unfortunately it doesn’t hasn’t got anything about it which sets the band apart from the rest of the scruffy haired trilbry wearers all trying to make their mark on dreary old England at present.
