Manchester’s, The Longcut have announced that they are to go on tour in March, kicking off at the Scala in London, on March 17.
The tour will also coincide with the release of the double A-side single, ‘Idiot Check / You Got The Love.’
The single - which includes a cover of The Source’s smash hit, ‘You Got The Love,’ - will be released on limited 7-inch vinyl and download only, on March 19.
Talking about the cover, singer and drummer Stuart Ogilvie said: “We’d spent so long concentrating on our own stuff for the album and it seemed like a good idea to do something completely different.”
“We always wanted it to be a proper floor filler like the original, just with shouting and big fuck off guitars.”
The band have also recently completed a tour supporting follow Mancunian’s, The Charlatans.
They’ll be hoping to use that experience when they call at the following venues in March –
London, Scala – March 17
Norwich, Arts Centre – 18
SOunthmapton, Joiners – 19
Manchester, The Ritz – 20
Glasgow, king Tuts – 21
