Marilyn Manson Has 'No Emotions' For Virginia Tech Victims

Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has yet another controversial quote to add to his already mammoth collection.

In regards to the Virginia Tech Massacre in which 33 people died, Manson said he feels it’s pointless to “waste emotions” on the incident.

He continues to say: “It all seems very manufactured to me in the way that there's candlelight vigils but I haven't seen anyone crying. Not one single person crying.”

"Someone said to me yesterday 'I'm sure you're full of mixed emotions'. I'm not. I don't really care. I don't know anyone involved in it. If you lose emotion, and you gain it back, you realise that hate and love are very important to distribute properly. So I am not going to waste any kind of emotion on things that aren't related to me"

Though what he is saying make sense, his comments are certain to be misunderstood.

"It doesn't mean that you have to be insensitive or cold, or have no sort of empathy. It just means that when you do have an emotion, make it extreme." added Marilyn.

Manson was held partly responsible by some bible bashers to have inspired the killers who fellow students in the 1999 Columbine High shootings.

i can sort of see where he’s coming from, when he says he cant really feel emotion towards it, becuase he didnt know anyone there..but he’s a bit harsh when he says he doesnt care, theres a difference

At last, someone who is talking a bit of sense. A tragic day yes, but it hardly affects the individual with no relative/friends affected does it?

Cant blame manson for that. I didnt know them so i dont feel for them sure it sucks yea.. but it isnt the first time and isnt the last time it’ll happen surely its america so.. Why waste emotion’s over and over again. Like i said its sad but nothing emotional about it. Manson always knows how to word it best.

Agreed. Manson is one of the only artists to come out and say what everyone is thinking deep down but afraid to say themselves.

It costs nothing to feel empathy for fellow humans. This just shows how selfish the man is. I think the true measure of one’s character is the ability to empathize with others.
