Justin Timberlake has launched his own record label in partnership with Interscope Records.
Timberlake will sign and release artist's music on the Tennman Records label, where he holds the position of chairman and chief executive.
Timberlake’s partnership with Interscope, who are a subsidiary of Sony BMG, means that his new bands will compete against Jive – the Universal label who currently distribute Timberlake’s own material.
The singer said in a statement: "We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already... and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries."
Tennman’s day to day business will be overseen by former vice-president of Sony BMG, Ken Komisar, who assumes the role of President.
