Air - ‘Mer Du Japon’
Losing your reason in the Sea of Japan sounds like a blissful state to be in. Get naked and form an orderly queue, armbands may be necessary. Short and definitely sweet. Air deliver a beautifully distilled track which thanks to atmospheric piano, strings and samples of waves seems to lower blood pressure quicker than a Beta-blocker. Godin’s use of a Japanese floor harp, known as a koto only adds to the ethereal bubble. Strikingly fragile. It would make the perfect soundtrack for a home birth. Put the birthing pool in the living room and watch her dilate. Forget CD’s of whales and the like, this is a beautiful way for your child’s first breath to be taken.
