These are going to be tight and sweaty and we have the details here

Right then – let’s poke Monday morning in the eye right here, right now: dance godfathers Underworld have announced details of a series of intimate club dates for November and December.

The ‘Born Slippy’ hitmakers are set to hit Amsterdam’s Temp for two nights, which will then be followed by three nights at the Village Underground in London. It all makes a change from the massive gigs that the duo has been laying on over the last 20 or so years. Their last London headline gig was at the 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace – and that sold out five months in advance, so you’d better get your skates on.

On top of that, Underworld are promising to experiment with a mix of brand new material, classic tracks and little heard gems from their deep archive. Which sounds pretty good to us, not least as we once danced ourselves daft to a 30-minute mash-up of ‘Rez’/’Cowgirl’ at one of the banging gigs. We’d tell you which one it was, but y’know, it was one of those nights…

Speaking of the upcoming dates, Rick Smith commented: “In 2017 we reconnected with a personal joy of performing in small venues when Karl & I took our show to the Zepp club in Osaka prior to headlining Ultra festival in Tokyo. The whole experience was so deeply inspiring we just had to do it again.”

Pre-sales for the gigs are available from here right now. Remaining tickets will be available via general sale at 9am GMT / 10am CET on 07 November.
