The Wu Tang Clan’s latest album will be entitled, ‘The 8 Diagrams,’ it has been revealed.
The collective’s new album – which they are currently recording in Legacy Studios in New York – will include with collaborations with, amongst others, E.Z., Marley Marl, Q-Tip and DJ Scratch.
The album will be the group’s first new studio material since 2001’s, ‘Iron Flag’
Talking about the album, Wu Tang member RZA said: "This isn't a comeback. We never went anywhere in the first place, we were just working on various different projects and this is the first group album in six years and the first European Wu Tang tour featuring all members."
According to the NME, RZA also revealed that working without founding member ODB – who died in 2004 – has been difficult.
He confessed: "We still miss him every day... It's like you lost an arm or a leg, you feel incomplete. He was a very special person, like a very rare diamond. You know, it's like you wake up one day and they're saying: 'There are not diamonds in the world anymore, just cubic zirconia...'"
As previously reported, Wu Tang Clan will play two exclusive UK shows in July in London and Manchester.
The Wu Tang Clan will play the following venues:
London, Hammersmith Apollo – July 5
Manchester, Apollo - 6
