Hard-Fi have revealed that they will headline the Leftfield Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on June 23rd.
The band – who are currently putting the finishing touches to their second album, ‘Once Upon A Time In The West' – have been added to the bill thanks to the Love Music Hate Racism organisation.
Lead singer, Richard Archer, said: “It was through the Love Music Hate Racism people. They book the Leftfield stage and knew we weren't going to do any festivals. I was thinking 'lets just concentrate on getting the album out', but then they asked us if we fancied doing it."
Archer also revealed to the NME that the band will play a number of new songs at the festival.
He added: “We'll play two or three new ones. At the moment we're actually mixing the record, we've only got two rehearsals before Glastonbury so it's going to be a bit like the Stones in '71, a bit ramshackle. But I promise you this, we'll be proper fucking 'aving it!"
This year’s festival – which gets underway on Friday (June 22nd) – will feature headline performances from The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and The Who.
