More about:

KAWALA rally against the bullies on their brand new video for the chilled-out ‘Play it Right’. The new video is a Stranger Things-inspired visual with plenty of charming moments, including an archetypal - and Gigwise-recommended - cry on the sofa with a pint of ice cream.

The heartwarming video sees the band - dressed in distinctive eighties garb - befriend a bullied schoolgirl with many shared aesthetic hallmarks with Barb of Stranger Things season one. The five-piece erupt out of a cassette and into the girl’s world, coaching her on all things school, sport and self esteem. They even bake her a ‘Slay Queen’ cake. Watch it on Gigwise here:

The heartwarming video makes only to improve the already lovely song, showing how a good tune and a well-loved band can help ordinary people through life’s ups and downs. Plus, who doesn’t love a strong nineteen-eighties aesthetic?
