Bristol-based musician Katy J Pearson has an astounding debut single streaming below titled 'Tonight'.

Accessible, timeless and thought-provoking, Pearson's knack for bittersweet  melodies and tasteful orchestral pop is a joy to behold. You could do a lot worse that tuning into the superbly mixed and taught song below.

Touching on the theme, the label write on social media that 'Tonight' is about the fizzing anticipation of new love. The video to the tune, meanwhile, takes the viewer on a tour of some beautiful, remote parts of the United Kingdom as the singer offers an Aldous Harding-esque quirkiness to camera.

Though the stream is the only material currently available to fans, on 15 November there will be a 7" out via Heavenly Recordings (pre-order). It comes with a b-side – a cover of M. Ward’s ‘Poison Cup'.

Pearson first came to Gigwise's attention with Ardyn, the more ethereal sounding band she formed in Stroud, Gloucestershire with her brother.

Katy J Pearson is currently in the midst of a short UK tour and calls in at The Lexington in London tonight. Worth popping in for sure.
