The Glasgow band, formerly LUCIA, are back with a brilliant Madonna-esque tune

Sweat drips from the walls in 'Good Girls Do Bad Things', the comeback single from a rebranded and more compelling than ever Lucia + The Best Boys.

The new release resolidifies Lucia and her band as a formidable part of the burgeoning underground Glasgow scene. It also sees a pivot to a darker, sexier pop sound that suits the group even more than the coquettish bubblegum of earlier releases.

Vocalist Lucia has gone full glam-rock-cum-new-romantic for the accompanying video, which sees her ride through Glasgow's Barrowlands on a horse alongside an entourage that includes Medicine Cabinet's Anna Reeves.

Hear it; see it:

With the heart of early Madonna and the libido of someone far less virginal, 'Good Girls Do Bad Things' is a truly exciting eighties statement from the newly re-named Lucia + The Best Boys.

The single was recorded in LA with Paramore and Wolf Alice producer Carlos De La Garza and is a rallying cry for women the world over. On the subject, Lucia said: “Good girls do bad things is a song written for any women who feels like they have ever been undermined, or made to feel worthless and weak by a man. I find myself in these situations far too often, now more than ever, and it is important to highlight that they are the weak ones in the situation.

Lucia + The Best Boys will release a new EP in early 2020.
