Denmark's Volbeat dropped their seventh LP in August, and went to number 7 in the UK charts with their rockabilly sound. On their booking, they said "we are very excited to return to Donington Park once again to rock with all of our friends in the UK alongside so many great bands".
Joining them will be metalcore essentials Killswitch Engage, who are "eager to bring the mother fucking ruckus!" to Leicestershire next June.
Elsewhere, Japanese kawaii metalheads Babymetal will bring their "mix of innocent fun and genuinely catchy pop-metal". Their latest album Metal Galaxy charmed Gigwise, and we reviewed it at 8/10.
Also heading to Donington Park will be The Pretty Reckless, Airbourne, Skillet, Puppy, PUP and Iron Maiden's side project British Lion.
Download Festival will take place 12-14 June 2020. Tickets are on sale now here.
