Portsmouth's city festival Victorious - the biggest metropolitan fest in the UK, don't you know - has announced its first big names for August Bank Holiday weekend 2020. Fellow Mancunians Ian Brown and Peter Hook and the Light will play on the Friday line-up alongside The Kooks and Terrorvision.

With a headline slot already confirmed for Neighbourhood Weekender next May, Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown is looking to have somewhat of a solo comeback year in 2020. He'll headline the Friday night of Victorious following sets from indie Golden Age exports The Kooks and Joy Divison/New Order evolutionary product Peter Hook and the Light.

Headliners and more acts to fill up the bill are yet to be announced. Of the billing so far, Festival Director Andy Marsh said: "we're delighted to announce the first wave of artists as a sneak peek of what we've got in store for next year. We're positive 2020 will be our best line-up to date and we can't wait to announce the rest of the bill."

Victorious Festival takes place in venues across Southsea in Portsmouth on 28-30 August 2020. Early Bird tickets are on ssale now here.
