More about:

FOCUS Wales have only gone and added The Twilight Sad to their illustrious line-up of interesting artists. The Scottish talents, who make thrilling shoegaze that resonates with a modern audience (and members of The Cure, who count themselves as fans) will play the festival on Saturday 9 May at Llwyn Isaf in Wrexham.

Last year's album It Won't Be Like This All The Time is a "truly excellent" record with an "omnipresent darkness" - the latest in a long line of great LPs. The Glaswegian post-punks will join a line-up that already includes Richard Hawley, Battles, Gruff Rhys and an assortment of newer talents to check out.

Those include: Altin Gün, JOHN, Adwaith and Chinatown Slalom.

This year will see the tenth anniversary of FOCUS Wales, which is the biggest Welsh music industry event that hosts a conference in addition to its schedule of live music.

Welcoming over 250 acts from far and wide over the weekend of 7th-9th May, FOCUS Wales is a great place to discover your new favourite band before anyone else.

With three days of panels, keynote talks, Wrexham will be alight with advice and inspiration from over 400 music industry professionals: delegates already announced include individuals from the likes of The Guardian, Glastonbury, Spain’s arm of Live Nation, and many more.
