More about:

Young, hard and hansome. It's the slogan on Walt Disco's excellent merch. Well, now you have the lyrics to go with it as the Goth glam sextet release their latest single 'Cut Your Hair'.

The eyeshadow, the drama, the cartoonish patchwork of electronic ideas: it couldn't get more eighties if it wore padded shoulders. And yet, as always, Walt Disco update their sound for 2020 and beyond with a tangible sense of contemporary dance percussion blasting in the background and an eccentric, knowing vocal performance that shares quirks with those of Sports Team's Alex Rice as much as with Ru Paul.

New wave, New Romantic but undobtedly new music, Walt Disco have released their most infectious song to date. Listen:

Singer James Power addressed the themes of the song: “"Cut Your Hair" was written as a wee fun jibe at people passing judgement to those who are just being themselves. I think older generations can learn a lot from us YOUNG HARD AND HANDSOME folk."

A debut EP is arriving later this year, everyone! Expect more queer disco dreams.

There's also a tour to look forward to.
