A soulful groove weaves atop a dancefloor-shaking funky house beat, elevated by features from the likes of Greentea Peng, whose vocal lines are “like wisps of silver-grey smoke that curl and dance their way through the thick smog of her beloved hometown of London”. Donae’o has been the figurehead for so many underground UK movements, and so his involvement in this track has truly been vital in bringing together three masterful artists from different genres for this highly collaborative project, such as pairing Greentea Peng’s neo-soul flourishes with Skinner’s iconic reflective rap, and lending his own voice as a feature too. Mike Skinner elaborates more on the track: "This is a summer club song. Knowing that Donae'o is the king of UK funky music - match made in heaven. The collab mixtape will feature the likes of IDLES, Ms Banks, Jesse James Solomon and Hak Baker, to name but a few.
None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive is released on 10 July.
