More about:

DITZ have shared the urban-futuristic new video for their brooding single 'Role Model'. Featuring high rises doubling as volume bars, its as batshit and disturbing as the song demands. Out today, it forsees the release of 5 Songs EP, out this Friday.

Released in May as the final taste of their new EP, we called 'Role Model' "insidious and creeping...an adrenaline-spiking avalanche of sound." Makes sense, considering the cut is about "peer envy...It’s a horrible trait that stops you from being happy for other people and leaves you with a skewed perspective of what you’re making and its original goals." See the video here:

On its making, the band said: "The video was made by our usual collaborator Jay Bartlett during lockdown. We took a hands off approach and gave him very few cues. It gave us an opportunity to react the same way a fan might on first viewing. In giving him that freedom I feel like we gained some freedom of our own.”

Sensibly titled 5 Songs, the new EP will also feature previous releases 'Seeking Arrangement' and 'Total 90' as well as a cover of Peaches' 'Fuck The Pain Away'. It's available to pre-order now here from Alcopop Records, and will be released on 3 July.
