An ode to friendship

More about:

The Magic Gang have followed up their excellent new album Death Of The Party with an upbeat, rocky new track 'Somebody Like You'. Positive and delightful, it's a bright muddle of classic rock influence.

Incoming with their own version of the Stones' 'Start Me Up' riff, 'Suddenly Like You' soon blooms into a sunlit cut with head-nodding parallels to artists from Harry Nilsson to The Dandy Warhols. It's a watery, joyful slice of life that's bound to cheer you up as we head into a dark winter.

“Even though the album just came out, we’ve been writing non-stop (there’s not much else to do) so we thought why sit on this song?" the band said, "The song is about enduring friendship. Lockdown was the longest Kris and Paeris had gone without seeing each other since they were eight-years-old.”
