More about:

With their new song ‘Limelight’ Touché Amoré announce a brand new album and reach a new emotional depth that manifests in a hail of broken frustration.

Joined by Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra on the new cut, the Los Angeles group have given us a glimpse into their forthcoming album Lament. Vocalist Jeremy Bolm sounds defeatist but determined, giving a performance that looks to the sky in fury whilst lying firmly down on its knees.

Riffs and drumming patterns mould into one, forming swelling sections like a bruise forming on the skin. There are contemplative moments, spaces to breathe which are shattered into pieces in this emotive display.

Lament is a piece of work that the band are determined to use as a means to push them out of their comfort zone. On the new song the band said, “when you’re connected to someone long enough, and you’ve both suffered losses and been there for one another, there’s an understanding and a beauty to the quiet moments. There’s a great line in Pulp Fiction when Uma Thurman boasts knowing when you’ve found someone really special, when you can ‘shut the fuck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence".
