Spoon have released a new, stripped back version of ‘Rainy Taxi’ from their 2014 album They Want My Soul.  The piano-led ‘Rainy Taxi (Big Beat)’ was recorded remotely in May 2020 by Britt Daniel and Alex Fischel in Austin TX and Los Angeles CA, respectively.

During Bandcamp's 24 hour fee-waiving period last Friday Spoon and Matador donated all proceeds earned from the 'Rainy Taxi (Big Beat)' single to Austin Community Foundation. 

On the Slay On Cue project, frontman Britt Daniel commented: "Some of these albums haven't been available on vinyl or CD in years, and in some places they never actually came out”. Listen below:

The Slay On Cue catalog reissues are released on 11 September 2020.
